Final Performance
My final performance went a solid average. It worked to an extent, where different videos were being triggered, but the correct ones were not triggering with the right colours/facial features, I think this is because of the different lighting conditions down there which I should have tested!!! There were at least two videos in my performance that were not triggered at all and another one that was not suppose to until the end. Overall I got it done and it didn't go badly but if it had gone just as I had planned it I think it would have been really successful!
Final MaxPatch
My final maxpatch works by taking the hue and saturation values through a web cam and triggering different movies relevant to the hue on videop-lanes that fade in and out. It has one main patch with 10 subpatches for each video.
Final Solution
Morgan has helped me come to a final solution. The values coming in from my hue are being scaled so they only hit from 0-10 which trigger between each of my 10 movies. Have tested it out and although it is alot less accurate it is solving alot of my problems and simplify my patch...so looks like this may do the trick. Here's hoping!
GUTTED it doesn't work!
The Max patch with the change is not working for some reason it is only banging when it goes outside the higher value or below the higher value, not outside or inside the two...am reallgy stuck for what to do at the moment to fix this and I am running out of time!!!! Can always fall back on the back up plan but the results from that were not particularly desirable
Window Frame
I decided I would make this, as the "web" cam will be zoomed right up to match the inside see-through part of this frame. That means that not only can I judge the distance of where my face needs to be but the audience can also get an idea of how my different face movements inside this frame are triggereing it
Hue Fixed
Morgan helped me out with the hue problem...it seems I had unpacked it wrong somehow so the values weren't coming accurately...phewwww now I can figure out the accurate values and hopefully get them triggering right.
We may have the ANSWER!
Steven has been helping me out....I came across a forum talking about a (change) in max msp which sends out only one bang when inside two values and one outside the two values..
Looking good at the mo here is hoping
Max - Banging
One way I figured out how to stop the opacity to continually bang was to put the one bang on a metro timer....this worked alot better than it did bu the only problem now as that when it does bang random flashing images kept coming in front. Will have to use this one unless I come up with a better alternative.....feels like I have been trying to fix this forever!!!!

Troubleshooting Hue
Have found these sites that talk about hue rotation...possibly using a colour wheel and track the degrees rather than the value...sounds like it could or should work but so far cannot figure it out...way above my head!
HUE.....
Have finally figured out why half of my videos are being triggered and the other half arent...the hue in max msp is going from 0 - 255 then back again 255 - 0 so some of the colours are overlapping! Am trying to fix this but so far no luck......
If you look at the movie below and look at the hue integer you should get what I mean...

REBANGING patch
Ahhhhhhhhh, cannot figure out how to stop the bangfrom rebanging my fades between the values in the if statements....have tried onebang and a few other methods but no luck so far...here are the patches that show my testing....

Mixing and triggering
The videoplanes are so far working...have hooked them up with my hue trigger patch, it is working expect that when the fading in and out happens the bang keeps re-setting the fades, will try and fix this obviously.
Mixing with Video Planes
With some help from Morgan I am able to mix the videos using video planes.....so far it is working alright but will do some more testing before I can say for sure it is working
Layering Vids
Attempting to layer my videos with jit.lcd-layer, they are being layered as shown in the movie below....but I am unable to get them being triggered by the colour and moving to the front....quite alot more troubleshooting to work in on this one
Rgb to Hsl
From presentation they suggested I used HSL instead of RGB so I could track the hue better...I have done so here is the patch
Max Patch 1
My first initial patch, I have the basic triggering of different videos when the hue changes.....do not have them all working yet as need to tweak th colour values to get them right.....using the if statements you see above
